Frequently asked printer
questions
Q: How does an inkjet printer work?
A: An inkjet printer works on the
same principle as a perfume atomizer. If you will look
very closely on the print head portion of an inkjet cartridge
(the small copper square that rests just above the paper when
the cartridge is in the printer) you will notice 2 rows of very
tiny holes in the copper. Each of these holes can be
charged independently of the others. When the cartridge is
functioning, the printer sends a charge to the tiny holes.
This charge pulls ink particles through the hole and fires it
onto the page. The printer tightly controls the firing
sequence, which results in images on the page.
Q: How do you get inkjet ink out of
clothes?
A: With a very wet paper towel dab
the stain repeatedly until no more ink comes off onto the paper
towel. Then allow to air dry. Next spray the stain
with hairspray while blotting the back side of the stain with a
paper towel. Repeat several times. Soak the stain
with laundry pre-wash. Wash in warm water and allow to air
dry. Good luck.
Q: How do you get inkjet ink off of
skin?
A: Tough one. Your best bet
is to wash them with fingernail polish.
